Applying self-tan to your hands without leaving streaks, patches or orange palms isn’t such a dark art. If you know how...

Well clubbers we’re here to let you in on our secret.

It just needs a softly, softly approach.

Our hands go through a lot and are one of the driest parts of our bodies.

Before applying any tanning product, use an exfoliator especially designed for your hands to gently remove any hard skin or dry areas.

Ideally try this at least 24 hours before applying your tan.

Our hands don’t tend to tan as dark as the rest of our body.  There’s no need to go super dark with your choice of self-tanner, instead you’ll want a nice light formulation.

Our Soho Tanning Club Tropical Spritz Tanning Water is perfect to achieve that natural looking tan your hands.

To apply…with your palm facing down, make a claw shape with your hand.

You don’t want blocky looking colour on the back of your hand. So, for an even coverage spread your fingers to make sure some tan can be applied (lightly) on the sides of your fingers.

Curve the fingers slightly, so that the skin on the knuckles is spread out evenly.

Holding the bottle about 20cms away, spray a light drizzle of Tanning Water onto the skin and gently blend it evenly with a cotton wool ball.

Wipe over the fingernails with a baby wipe to remove any tan.

Enjoy the refreshing melon scent while the water gets to work. It not only smells amazing, but the hydrating formula gives a boost of moisture too!

Then simply leave for 4 to 8 hours and rinse off. Job done!
